Wow - was I surprised today!!
Mom and Dad came and got me from school early, took me to a really fun lunch at Wendy's, and then I took a nap, and when I woke up....we were at Disneyland!!!
I had no idea - they really pulled a fast one on me.
I wasn't quite sure what to make of the place. I mean, have you BEEN there? It's madness! We started with a quiet snack on Main Street so I could soak everything up...it was a bit overwhelming.
After that, we took the train to ToonTown, which I totally dug. I love the choo choos. And ToonTown was a blast - I played a little piano, ran around the lighthouse, crawled through Goofy's garden and saw Mickey and Minnie. They were pretty cool, being giant rodents and all.
Then we went on this ride called It's a Small World - have you ever heard of it? It's got a catchy tune, I must say...
Daddy insisted we stop for some watermelon, and after that we on this really cool ride called the Tea Cups. I don't know what a tea cup is, but you sit in this giant bowl and spin around 'til you get sick, or until they make you get off the ride, whichever happens first.
I sort of got hooked on this idea of going around in circles, so we went straight to King Arthur's Carousel and rode the horses a few times. Mom rode alongside me the first time, and then Daddy wanted to try it. I was too busy checking out the cute chick next to me, though, to really notice what the 'rents were up to.
I think we were all ready for a little quiet time after that, so we went on a stroll around the park for a bit before stopping in TomorrowLand. Dad took me on this cool ride where I got to drive a car and run into other cars. He looked a bit green afterwards, but I had a blast. Mom went and got me Mickey ears while we were on the ride, but I was too wired after that to wear them.
After a nice dinner back on Main Street, it was time to head home. I was pooped and Mom and Dad looked pretty wiped, too. I knocked out in the car, dreaming of our next trip to Disneyland, and hoping maybe the next time, Mom and Dad will give me a little notice...
